European Film Promotion (EFP) and its member organisations are delighted to announce the 2024 line-up for this year’s edition of PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE being held before and during the Festival de Cannes (14 - 25 May, 2024). 20 of Europe’s most promising producers have been selected to take part in EFP’s prestigious promotion and networking platform which is not only celebrating its 25th anniversary, but will also be casting a spotlight on the numerous collaborations which have developed between around 500 participants from 37 European countries during this quarter century.

From Denmark: Lina Flint, producer of Gustav Möller’s The Guilty, which won Sundance’s Audience Award and was shortlisted for the Oscars.

From Iceland: Sara Nassim, The Lamb by Valdimar Jóhannsson, Un Certain Regard - Prize of Originality, Cannes, 2021; European Film Awards, Visual Effects 2021.

From Norway: Anita Rehoff Larsen who produced such award-winning documentaries as Viktor Kossakovsky’s Gunda which premiered at the 2020 Berlinale, Tone Grøttjord-Glenne’s 2020 Hot Docs competition title All That I Am, and Corinne van der Borch and Tone Grøttjord-Glenne’s Sisters on Track

From Sweden: Eva Åkergren, with recent co-productions such as Ali Abbasi’s Holy Spider, Malou Reymann’s Unruly, and Gustav Möller’s Sons together with Denmark’s Lina Flint. Eva is now in preproduction on her third collaboration with Amanda Kernell with The Curse - A Love Story.

This exclusive group will take part in a tailor-made program to foster international co-productions, intensify the exchange of experiences and help create new professional networks. The Pre-Festival online program, which starts today and runs until 3 May, includes 1:1 speed meetings, roundtables and pitching sessions. The producers will then meet in person during the Festival de Cannes from 16 to 20 May and take part in a five-day on-site program including case studies, social events and an extensive promotional campaign via the international trade magazines.

Congratulations to 25 years of producers on the move at EFP!
